Our starter course “An Introduction to Mindfulness” is the perfect place to learn the basics of mindfulness. Each week you’ll gain new skills and work on easy assignments to help develop your technique. By the end of the course, you will:

  • have a good understanding of mindfulness fundamentals

  • be able to start your own daily mindfulness practice

  • know where to go to get help and resources

Learning in a group has its benefits.

If one-on-one instruction seems intimidating, this course is perfect for you! We facilitate this program in a group video-conferencing format and everyone is at the beginner level. You’ll feel comfortable in the company of others who have the same interest in learning, and you’ll benefit from their questions and shared experiences.

3 Week Group Program: “An Introduction to Mindfulness”

Length of Program: 3 Sessions

Length of Sessions : 1 Hour

Personal time commitment: 20-30 minutes practice per day

Cost of Program: $100

Program Dates & Time: Sunday Jan. 10, Jan 17 & Jan 24 @ 11:00 am

Week 1: An Introduction to Mindfulness. Learn what mindfulness is, why it’s important, and get started with the Mindfulness of Breath Meditations Exercise.

Week 2: Introduction to Body Sensations. Learn what you’re noticing, why that can be challenging, and how to perform your own body scan.

Week 3: Introduction to Mindful Movement. Learn how purposeful movement can help re-focus your attention and bring relief. Review of key program points and next steps.
