Our techniques are a blend of tradition and innovation.

At Just This Moment Mindfulness Counselling, we specialize in Mindfulness-integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MiCBT) and the Sedona Method.

When used in combination, these powerful techniques can retrain your brain and foster a state of relaxation that has a positive effect on both your health and your sense of well-being.

When it comes to mindfulness therapy, it's important to know that there are different methods available. We offer MiCBT because it an evidence-based therapy with the most comprehensive approach to addressing a wide range of disorders, crises, and chronic conditions.

MiCBT is a blend of Buddhist mindfulness meditation (Burmese Vipassana tradition) and core principles of behaviour modification and cognitive restructuring techniques integrated from modern Western psychology.

Using MiCBT, we will help you to understand the important relationship between your mind & body, and how you process emotional information. You will learn to be more aware of what you react to in your life. And you will learn to improve your thinking process through a series of exercises designed to help release your suffering and to affect change.

If you have tried other types of meditation before but are feeling stuck or are struggling in your life, MiCBT may be the key to take you to the next level.

Our Techniques_a blend of tradition and innovation

Through mindfulness we can deeply explore our experience and notice that there is only ever just this moment, and that just this moment is truly enough.

In addition to MiCBT, we teach the Sedona Method - a targeted technique to release unwanted feelings that cause pain and unhappiness. It is critical that you have tools to cope with unwanted feelings; otherwise, unhealthy habits can easily take hold and take over your life. The Sedona Method is a simple 3 step process that you will find invaluable in releasing emotions and moving forward towards well-being.
